RPA-SELECTION OF TOOLS AND PRIORITIZATION OF PROCESSES

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) –
SELECTION OF TOOLS AND PRIORITIZATION OF PROCESSES-
The success of RPA depends a lot on its approach to implementation, selection of tools and selection of commercial processes for automation. In this post, we will discuss over-
1- Selection of tools: selecting the best option for your processes.
2- Selection of the business process: how to prioritize it
Find the matrix below to understand the tool selection approach.
1.SELECTION OF TOOL:
there are several tools available in the market for the automation of business processes, but to select the tool for our business need, we must think carefully.
We have taken UIPath and other fictitious tools in comparison with the mentioned tools and functions (1,2,3) for comprehension purposes
The actual score is the product of the characteristic value and needs priority, p. function 1 and priority need, which is 3 in the first row, which makes the score 3 (3 * 1). We have taken UIPath as a sample, do not assume that it is the best option for your automation need. It may or may not be the best, you can decide the same after using the previous analysis basis in function and you need a priority calculation with real tools.
The upper matrix contains a large number of legends / values, see below a detailed definition:
A detailed PoC is recommended before finalizing the best adjustment tool for your need for process automation.
ACCORDING TO THE ANALYSIS AND TRENDS OF THE INDUSTRY,
1- Ease of development / Implementation is better in Automation Anywhere and relatively high in Blueprism
2- The ease of delivery is better in Automation anywhere and relatively high in Bueprism.
2-SELECTION OF BUSINESS PROCESSES:
after the successful selection of tools for the next process, we must identify the processes that will be automated. First of all, it is good to have the complete list of all the processes that are currently running in your current operation, then prioritize them according to the image below. Now, here gravity is how critical the process is. Our goal should be to catch low hanging fruits first with respect to gravity.

Now, once we have the seriousness of the processes, we begin to plan the implementation roadmap starting from the lowest to the most critical process. See the image below for the linear implementation of process automation.
