TYPES OF AUTOMATION

Introduction
As mentioned above, there are many tasks that robots can do from simple and mundane activities, such as data entry to super-complex activities, such as generating a dynamic response to the user’s query based on machine learning and cognitive skills.
There are different stages or levels of intelligent automation:
• Digital worker: as the name implies, this is the level of primary or entry level automation that an organization can advance and still achieve efficiency gains. This is the typical Robotics Process Automation tool that can perform tasks such as:
o Data entry
o Execution of functions in Excel for data validation
o Activation of personalized emails with pre-established content or standard templates
o Data comparison
or set reminders
o Batch processing and filling of mapped fields
o Queues and assignment
• Digital reader: this is a secondary level of automation, also called “cognitive automation”. The robots in this stage can perform tasks that involve:
Machine learning
o Recognition based on patterns or keywords that evolves over time as Robot sees and identifies more patterns / keywords
o Data processing in variable formats
o Pattern-based dynamic queue allocation
o Complex analysis based on continuous learning
• Digital Talker: this is an automation offer that focuses on providing a more interactive experience. Amazon’s Alexa, Google Home are very popular examples of this. These robots are also called ‘ChatBots’ since they perform tasks somewhat similar to the previous Digital Reader classification; however, they have additional text and voice capabilities and are more focused on communication. The robots in this stage can perform additional tasks that involve:
o Predictive Analysis
o Customer service
o Query resolution based on recognition based on patterns or keywords that evolve over time as Robot sees and identifies more patterns / keywords
• Digital thinker: this is the advanced level of automation that is classical artificial intelligence. The tools of Artificial Intelligence are something comparable to humans in terms of intelligence and have their own IQ. Currently, the IQ of these artificial intelligence tools is significantly lower than that of humans. According to studies conducted in 2016, the IQ of Google IAB. (47.28) is almost twice as big as Siri (23.94), however, a six-year-old child beats both when it comes to thinking of intelligence and skill. The IC of the average person is in the range of 85–114.
As the IQ of these applications or tools increases, to a certain extent it will be beneficial for people and once the IQ exceeds the average human being, then we will all know what will happen: we have all seen science fiction movies 
However, the digital thinker can perform the following activities in addition to the activities listed for the previous categories:
o Predictive analysis based on cognitive learning and complex algorithm
o Complex mathematical analysis
